The 12 Personality Archetypes were developed in the mid 20th century by Swiss psychiatrist and philosopher, Carl Jung. Jung determined that these 12 personalities make up a universal language, each with a language that stand for certain basic human needs, attributes, motivations, fears and emotions. This means that we intrinsically already know these personalities.
I had no idea about branding and were I sat in the market. The Brand Personality Quiz is a very powerful process. It was a real eye opener, and it was really really interesting to understand what my business archetype profile is and how I can communicate that now to people. It's given me a really good sense of how to position myself in the market and how to promote myself, how to present myself moving forward which before I was very lost. Good God, the process of building a brand was an extremely rewarding experience of introspection, patience and fun!
I learned that your brand and your soul should align. If it doesn’t feel (look) right to you, then something’s off. If your brand doesn’t represent who you truly are, your message will feel fake and un-motivating for you as well as your customers.
I had no idea how important archetypes were in the branding process. The idea of a personality can be expressed through the brand. It's more than just looking at the colors and the fonts; we worked through how the brand feels and how I wanted the brand to speak.
